2 arrested after K-9 discovers over 200 grams of meth during traffic stop near Denver

THORNTON, Colo. (KKTV) – The Thornton Police Department said two people have been arrested after meth and a loaded weapon were found during a traffic stop.

Police said last week their officers conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of E. 120th Ave., just east of I-25. They said they observed suspicious activity and called in the Broomfield Police Department’s K-9 Rodo for help.

According to police, K-9 Rodo sniffed and alerted to narcotics in the vehicle, leading officers to discover 220 grams of meth and a loaded handgun…
