Metallica blood drive reportedly biggest in history of Denver Red Cross

DENVER (KDVR) — Ride the lightning, embrace the thunder, and give blood!

A blood drive held in collaboration between Metallica, the American Red Cross and the band’s foundation, All Within My Hands, yielded record-breaking results in Denver this week, according to the band’s public relations firm, Nasty Little Man.

The event was held from June 23-24 at Empower Field at Mile High — where Metallica is set to play on June 29 as part of its current world tour — and “resulted in the biggest/highest blood drive in the history of the Denver Red Cross,” according to the firm.

“By rolling up a sleeve to give, the Metallica family can help trauma victims, those facing cancer, new mothers, people living with sickle cell disease and so many more,” reads a post about the Metallica blood drive events on the American Red Cross website…
