See illegal fireworks? How to report them in the Denver metro

DENVER (KDVR) — Fireworks are illegal in Colorado for a reason, and while they can be dangerous and spark fires, emergency dispatchers ask the public not to call 911 to report them.

Unless the fireworks are a threat to safety or there is an emergency like a fire, law enforcement agencies are reminding Coloradans to report illegal fireworks properly so as not to overwhelm dispatch lines for urgent emergencies.
