DENVER (KDVR) — A Thornton Police Department officer who shot and killed a man in a residential area in October 2024 was deemed justified in his actions, the 17th Judicial District Attorney decided.
Following an investigation, the DA concluded that the officer’s actions were reasonable and justified as the suspect continued to pose a threat to the lives of police and residents in the area after refusing opportunities to surrender and firing at police.
