‘High-risk stop’ results in arrest of 2 suspects, says Jeffco Sheriff’s Office

DENVER (KDVR) — Two suspects have been arrested and face multiple charges, including attempted first-degree murder with extreme indifference, after allegedly eluding Jefferson County deputies.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, in a press release to FOX31, said that around 8 a.m. on Saturday, dispatchers received a 911 call from a male driver. The man reported that while he was traveling on U.S. 6 near Tunnel 1, another “erratic” driver on the highway allegedly fired a handgun at him.

Deputies located the suspected vehicle and tried to conduct a traffic stop, but the driver did not yield. The vehicle continued to drive eastbound on U.S. 6 and then headed southbound on Highway 93 into a neighborhood in the city of Golden, says JCSO…
