Suspect arrested for alleged assault with pipe, crowbar

DENVER (KDVR) — A man was arrested after allegedly assaulting someone with a pipe or crowbar, according to the Aurora Police Department.

At 4:41 p.m. on Sunday, Aurora police received a call about an assault with a pipe or crowbar that occurred in the 1200 block of South Buckley Road.

While officers were responding to the scene, witnesses told Aurora 911 that the suspect in the alleged assault sped away in a green Toyota RAV4.

Police said that the witness’s detailed description of the suspect and the fleeing vehicle was integral information for the officers assigned to the Real-Time Information Center. Those officers were able to locate the vehicle traveling near East Colfax Avenue and Airport Boulevard…
