DENVER (KDVR) — A 29-year-old man was arrested in connection with a deadly hit-and-run crash that sent two people to the hospital, where one of those victims was pronounced dead.
Jeffrey Alvarez, 29, has been arrested and is being held for investigation of vehicular homicide and investigation of leaving the scene of an accident involving death. The final determination of charges is up to the Denver District Attorney’s Office.

The Denver Police Department said the crash occurred in the early morning hours of Saturday, Aug. 2, and told FOX31 that it was searching for two people who fled from the at-fault vehicle in the crash.
Officers told FOX31 that the at-fault driver had apparently been speeding in the left lane of I-25 when the crash occurred, and swerved to hit a vehicle in the far right lane. That car then spun out, and one person from that vehicle was taken to a hospital with minor injuries…
