Rise in rattlesnake activity prompts police to send warning to residents of Colorado town

Residents in the area of Parker, Colorado have been warned by local law enforcement about a reported uptick in rattlesnake activity.

According to the press release on the matter, a high number of rattlesnake encounters have recently taken place in open spaces and along local trails, as well as in residential yards. A common trend in the sightings is that snakes are found near rock formations, in tall grass, and in prairie dog burrows.
