2 Denver schools get AC after voters approved $975M bond in 2024

Denver (KDVR) — Two Denver Public Schools will have air conditioning for the first time this school year after Denver voters approved a $975 million bond in 2024.

$240 million from the bond is being allocated towards installing air conditioning in 29 schools within the district.

List: 2025-2026 start dates for Colorado’s biggest school districts

In 2025, Doull Elementary School and Ellis Elementary School will be the first of the 29 schools to get AC installed. The 27 remaining schools will have AC installed by 2028, said Denver Public Schools in a press release.
