Two more Denver Walgreens stores to close next month

DENVER (KDVR) — Two more Walgreens stores in Denver are set to close next month.

After several closures earlier this year, a spokesperson for the company confirmed to FOX31 on Monday that two more locations in Denver are set to close next month:

  • 950 S. Quebec St., closes Sept. 8
  • 6200 E. Colfax Ave., closes Sept. 10

Eight Walgreens stores in the Denver metro area have closed in the last year, as well as three in Colorado Springs. The company announced plans to close over 1,000 stores across the country last fall, and announced in March that it entered a definitive agreement to be acquired by “an entity affiliated with Sycamore Partners, a private equity firm specializing in retail, consumer and distribution-related investments.”

Other locations that have closed include:

  • 15301 E. Iliff Ave., Aurora
  • 12051 E. Mississippi Ave., Aurora
  • 6395 Sheridan Blvd., Arvada
  • 3555 Colorado Blvd., Denver
  • 6360 E. Evans Ave., Denver
  • 1601 W. 84th Ave., Federal Heights
  • 7496 S. Simms St., Littleton
  • 7665 W. Jewell Ave., Lakewood
