2 seriously injured after I-25 crash involving good Samaritan

DENVER — Two people are recovering from serious injuries after a crash on Interstate 25 earlier this month that happened after a driver stopped to help a stranded motorist.

Colorado State Patrol said the collision occurred just after midnight on Aug. 2 near the Interstate 76 interchange. Four cars were involved, including a black Chevrolet Silverado, a gray Ford Edge, a gray Honda Fit and a black Cadillac Escalade.

According to investigators, the Silverado hit the rear of the Ford Edge, sending it across all lanes of traffic and into the back of the Honda Fit. The Ford then continued across the roadway, where it was hit on the passenger side by the Escalade…
