Unsealed documents reveal large-scale narcotics and firearms trafficking in Denver metro area

COLORADO, USA — 9NEWS has obtained newly unsealed court documents, including redacted versions of several affidavits for the indictment of dozens of people. The affidavits come from undercover investigations into armed narcotics and firearms trafficking activities and murder-for-hire plots in the Denver metro area.

Two of the people listed in the affidavits are associates of Tren de Aragua, according to the court documents, filed by the United States Department of Justice.

In October 2024, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) began an investigation into armed narcotics and firearms trafficking activities happening in the Denver metro area.
