AURORA, Colo. — James Craig needed less than a minute alone with his wife to administer a fatal dose of cyanide – a dramatic moment in time captured in hospital surveillance footage obtained Monday by 9NEWS Investigates.
In the footage from March 15, 2023, Craig – a dentist who was dressed that day in dark blue scrubs – disappears from view at 2:21 p.m. as he heads into the room where his wife, Angela, was being treated for recurring but mysterious symptoms, including weakness and dizziness. It was the fourth time in 10 days that she’d sought medical care, and even though she didn’t feel well she was awake and alert.
Fifty-eight seconds after James Craig left the camera’s field of view, he returned, gesturing to his left arm as he approached a nurse’s station and said that his wife was experiencing pain. Doctors and nurses rushed into her room found her unresponsive and on the verge of death.
