AURORA, Colo. — Body camera footage shows officers pointing guns at a man and then tasering him after he took his son from Children’s Hospital because he disagreed with medical care.
The incident happened in May 2024 after Children’s Hospital medical staff called police to report a child who was “gravely” ill and needed medical care.
According to an excessive force lawsuit filed by father Ladarius Butler in Adams County, he and his partner took their 3-year-old son from Children’s Hospital because of “conflicting medical advice.” The lawsuit was filed in May of this year…
