DENVER (KDVR) — The average price for gas across the United States on Labor Day weekend will be the lowest since 2020, according to fuel savings platform GasBuddy.
GasBuddy predicts average gas prices for the last summer holiday weekend will be $3.15 per gallon; comparatively, the average price for gas in the city and county of Denver is $3.18, as of Aug. 26.
“Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer, and when it comes to gas prices, it’s been the cheapest summer to hit the road since the pandemic,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, in a statement…
