Families remember young couple killed in Aurora motorcycle crash

AURORA, Colo. (KDVR) — The families of a young couple killed in a Friday afternoon motorcycle crash say their loved ones were deeply in love.

The parents of Mariah Phillips and Sebastian Luevanos say the 17- and 18-year-olds were on a motorcycle on East Arapahoe Road when they were involved in a crash with a vehicle.

Aurora police say the motorcycle’s speed is “being investigated as a contributing factor.” The driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Luevanos had graduated from Grandview High School last spring. Phillips had plans to graduate from high school in December and enroll at Arapahoe Community College. She had aspirations of becoming a certified nursing assistant…
