Mini-bike rider allegedly threw rocks at officers, taunted Denver police

DENVER (KDVR) — A miniature stunt motorcycle rider was arrested last week after allegedly assaulting an off-duty officer in Denver and taunting on-duty officers.

According to the Denver Police Department, it was just after midnight on Aug. 17, and officers were assisting with a downtown safety operation when an off-duty officer called for help.

An officer responded to the area of 26th Street and Larimer Street and learned that a male suspect riding a mini stunt motorcycle had “assaulted the off-duty officer,” although details of the assault were not shared.

After fleeing the area, police say that the same suspect described threw rocks at officers near 20th and Market streets. The suspect continued driving about downtown Denver, “taunting officers,” according to Denver police…
