DENVER (KDVR) — Thornton police caught three drivers who were going almost 20 miles per hour over the speed limit, with one seen at 30 mph over, according to a post on X from the Thornton Police Department.
The department said that the recent stops should serve as a reminder that Thornton is not the place to speed.

I-25 and 120th Avenue
A white motorbike was caught traveling on Interstate 25 near 120th Avenue. The driver was clocked at 92 mph.
School zone
Another driver was caught speeding in an unidentified school zone. The blue sedan was driving 50 mph in the 20 mph school zone.
I-25 and 84th Avenue
The last of the bunch and the highest speed reached by a driver was 93 mph on I-25 near 84th Avenue. The vehicle was a white sedan.
“Whether it’s endangering kids near schools or racing down the interstate, these speeds put everyone at risk. Please slow down, drive responsibly, and help keep our community safe,” the department said in the social media post.
