Man arrested after traffic stop leads to drug bust, discovery of more drugs at local motel

MERCER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A traffic stop in Mercer County led to the arrest of a Colorado man after police reported finding suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

According to a criminal complaint, on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, a West Virginia State Trooper stopped a blue Toyota Camry on East Cumberland Road in Bluefield.

The driver, identified as 36-year-old Keyon Nesmith of Denver, Colorado, was observed not wearing a seat belt and using a cell phone while driving.
