Denver Local Arrested After Stolen Moped Joyride Ends on Cherry Creek Bike Path

In a recent update from the Denver Police Department, a joyride through the city streets on a stolen moped ended in arrest for a Denver local. The Denver Police Department shared on social media that IMPACT officers from District 6 spotted the moped at a gas station with signs of a damaged ignition, a common indication of theft.

The officers didn’t immediately swoop in; instead, they waited patiently until the rider, oblivious to the police presence, came back and took off on the stolen ride. It was a surveillance operation that spanned from central Denver all the way to the southeast part of the city. The individual eventually ditched the moped on the Cherry Creek bike path and walked to a nearby apartment complex, where police quickly apprehended the suspect…
