In a recent update from the Denver Police Department, a joyride through the city streets on a stolen moped ended in arrest for a Denver local. The Denver Police Department shared on social media that IMPACT officers from District 6 spotted the moped at a gas station with signs of a damaged ignition, a common indication of theft.
The officers didn’t immediately swoop in; instead, they waited patiently until the rider, oblivious to the police presence, came back and took off on the stolen ride. It was a surveillance operation that spanned from central Denver all the way to the southeast part of the city.
