Denver Police Officers have recently shown that law enforcement duties often extend beyond arrests and citations. In what seems to be a heartwarming display of understanding and resourcefulness, two officers from the Denver Police Department went above and beyond to assist a man in distress. According to the Denver Police Department, Officers Cheryl Smith and James Adam were called to the scene at 29th Street and N. Brighton Boulevard on August 20.
The crux of the matter was a man causing a disturbance, exhibiting signs of distress that might otherwise have precipitated a different law enforcement approach.
