State wants to convert parking lot near governor’s mansion into affordable housing

DENVER — A state-owned parking lot sitting across the street from the Colorado Governor’s Mansion could soon be redeveloped into affordable housing.

The state’s Public-Private Partnership (P3) Collaboration Unit recently issued a call for development proposals for the half-acre lot at East 8th Avenue and Logan Street.

The P3 Unit, created in 2022 through Senate Bill 22-130, was established to transform underused state real estate into projects that benefit Coloradans.
