DENVER (KDVR) — Thornton police were asking the public to avoid the Anythink Library on Huron Street as they investigated a shooting call, resulting in a car crash into a residence and the detention of suspects.
Police said the shooting occurred at about 2 p.m. near 1201 West Thornton Parkway. The area is west of Interstate 25 and north of Thornton Parkway.

The agency reported on X at about 3 p.m. that it was responding to a shooting call in the area of 9400 Huron Street. The agency updated the situation at about 3:20 p.m., telling the community there is “no longer a threat.”
