Study: Colorado city named No. 6 nationwide for quality of life

DENVER (KDVR) — A Colorado city just south of Denver, which was ranked in 2024 in the top 1% of best small cities nationwide, is being highlighted again in a new study, sitting at No. 10 out of 500 cities nationwide.

According to LawnStarter’s study, Castle Rock was listed as No. 6 for 2025’s leading cities for quality of life, which comes after WalletHub announced Castle Rock as No. 15 in its study on the best small cities across the U.S., just last year.

The data was based on 13 metric categories, including healthcare access, overall safety, education, affordability and environmental factors, with the ranking of No. 1 being the highest quality of life, to No. 500 being the lowest.
