Denver school shooting leaves at least 3 students wounded as active threat reported

At least three students, including the suspected shooter, were wounded on Wednesday in a shooting at a high school in the Denver metropolitan area, according to multiple reports.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said the shooting took place just after noon at Evergreen High School, which is located at 29300 Buffalo Park Rd. in Evergreen – which itself is 28 miles southwest of Denver.

JeffCo emergency communications said there were reports of “an active assailant in the area of Evergreen High School,” according to CBS Colorado.

Jacki Kelley, the public information officer for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, said during a press conference that the authorities are “not certain how many shooters we have or where that shooter might be.”…
