A construction firm, that most Coloradans probably haven’t heard of, has been headquartered in Denver since 1986; they’ll be moving their headquarters within Colorado. With that, nearly 2,000 jobs will be coming to the state.
Who is Colorado’s RK Mechanical Inc?
RK Mechanical dates back to 1963 when it began in Pender, Nebraska. More than 60 years later, the company is very large, dealing in construction, manufacturing, fabrication and service within the mechanical, electrical, steel, water, and energy fields.
They are in three other states other than Colorado: Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico; they currently have about 1,700 employees. They’ve been eyeing a move of their headquarters for about two-years, according SentinelColorado.com, and the move will mean eventually doubling that workforce.
While the jump in the number of employees won’t happen overnight, SentinelColorado.com reports that within eight years RK will be adding 1,786 jobs by moving their headquarters from Denver to Aurora.
