DENVER (KDVR) — A Regional Transportation District bus caught fire Tuesday morning near the River North Arts District, after experiencing a mechanical issue.
RTD told FOX31 a Route 16 bus had just pulled out from RTD’s Platte Division at approximately 9 a.m. Tuesday, when a mechanical issue caused a fire to break out “near the back of the vehicle.”

The agency said the bus was not in service at the time of the incident, that no customers were on board and that no injuries were reported by the operator.
