‘Reckless’ driver in custody after going 100+ mph on I-76

DENVER (KDVR) — A driver with outstanding felony warrants is facing several charges after a trooper watched him go over 100 mph on Interstate 76 on Friday morning.

The Colorado State Patrol said the “reckless driver” was 33-year-old Adrian W. Martinez of Thornton, who had multiple felony warrants, and now faces charges for vehicular eluding, reckless driving, driving under the influence, obstruction and resisting arrest.

Martinez was arrested after the state patrol said a trooper watched a red Cadillac SRX with no plates drive over 100 mph on eastbound I-76, near Sheridan Boulevard, around 2:52 a.m. Friday morning…
