Legacy High School students in Broomfield walked out of the building Wednesday to protest gun violence in schools.
According to student Grace Griffin, the walkout aimed to protest “loose gun restrictions in America.” It came a week after a 16-year-old shot two students and then himself at the Evergreen High School campus.
At Legacy, more than 100 gathered in the early afternoon to walk a path around the school, holding signs bearing messages such as “Protect kids, not guns” and “Shooting children is not exercising the 2nd Amendment.” The walkout lasted about 20 minutes and included chants from students such as “Am I next?”…
