Man arrested after Aurora standoff faces accessory charges related to fatal stabbing

AURORA, Colo. — A man arrested Sunday night following a standoff in southeast Aurora faces charges related to a fatal stabbing last week, although the main suspect in that stabbing has not yet been arrested, a police department spokesman said.

Milton Oney Euceda-Velasquez, 29, was wanted on charges of accessory to a class 1 or 2 felony, second-degree arson and tampering with physical evidence, stemming from the fatal stabbing on Sept. 16 near 19th Ave and Havana Street.

He was taken into custody Sunday night after a shelter in place notification was issued for residents in the area of the 17600 block of East Mansfield Avenue, near South Buckley Road around 7:30 p.m. APD’s SWAT Team served a warrant for Euceda-Velasquez who was barricaded in a residence…
