Man suspected of ‘trafficking women’ in Denver metro area arrested

DENVER (KDVR) — A man suspected of “trafficking women from various locations across the Denver metro area” has been arrested, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

In a press release shared on X, the sheriff’s office said that Cortez D’Angelo Dennis, 31, was arrested after an undercover operation during the National Western Stock Show earlier this year.

As a result of the undercover operation, two adult victims were recovered and connected with support services.

After a months-long investigation, authorities arrested an alleged suspect, who has since been identified as Dennis. He was taken into custody and booked into the Arapahoe County Jail.

Dennis is currently facing charges of human trafficking for sexual servitude and pimping, according to the sheriff’s office. Dennis is also being held on a $500,000 cash-only bond.

“Investigators believe that Dennis was trafficking women from various locations across the Denver metro area. We believe there may be additional victims who have not yet been identified,” said the Jefferson County agency in the post…
