Denver police seek suspect of hit-and-run in Five Points

DENVER (KDVR) — Denver police are looking for a driver who the department said was involved in a felony hit-and-run crash at a busy intersection in the Five Points neighborhood earlier this month.

The Denver Police Department, in a Metro Denver Crime Stoppers bulletin distributed Tuesday, said the suspect was driving a small sport utility type vehicle on Sept. 3 at 8:10 p.m. when they struck a pedestrian who was crossing southbound along the east side of Court Place.

The suspect vehicle was traveling eastbound on Park Avenue West when the pedestrian was struck, according to DPD, which said the driver fled the scene of the crash without stopping or leaving their information.

DPD said the victim suffered “serious bodily injury” and that the suspect “small sport utility type vehicle” may have minor damage on its front driver’s side…
