I-25 south closed in Greenwood Village for ‘serious multi-vehicle’ crash; 6 taken to hospital

DENVER (KDVR) — The southbound lanes of Interstate 25 are closed at Orchard Road in Greenwood Village for what is being called a “serious multi-vehicle accident.”

The crash was reported by South Metro Fire Rescue at about 6:52 p.m.

At about 7:38 p.m., SMFR said that six patients were transported from the scene to local hospitals, and that I-25 south remains closed.

The agency said that it was on scene with Greenwood Village police for the crash, which occurred at Arapahoe Road in the southbound lanes. The Greenwood Village Police Department is investigating the crash.
