DENVER (KDVR) — A teen is in custody after he brought a gun onto school grounds in Westminster on Friday, according to a press release from the Westminster Police Department on Monday.
On Friday, Westminster police received a tip that a student at Mountain Range High School might have brought a gun onto the school campus.

Officers investigated the incident and learned that the student did not attend classes on Friday, but showed up to the school after students were dismissed for the day.
A school resource officer contacted the student near the bus stop, and he admitted to having a handgun. He was taken into custody without incident and taken to the Adams County Juvenile Detention Center…
