Pedestrian killed in early morning Aurora hit-and-run

DENVER (KDVR) — A pedestrian was killed in an early morning hit-and-run in Aurora on Wednesday, according to a press release from the Aurora Police Department.

Just after 6 a.m. on Wednesday, officers responded to a call about a man lying in the road.

An investigation determined that the man was pushing a shopping cart in the eastbound lane of East Hampden Avenue east of South Picadilly Road — a vehicle traveling in the same direction on East Hampden Avenue hit the man.

The driver did not stop and is believed to have fled further east towards Gun Club Road…
