Denver Man in Viral Protest Video Pleads Guilty, Avoids Felony Convictions

DENVER — A Colorado man who became the focus of a viral protest clash video earlier this year has accepted a plea deal that allows him to avoid felony convictions.

Viral Video Sparks Outrage

The incident took place on February 8, when video showed a blue pickup truck driving through downtown Denver with a man and a teenager inside. At one point, a glass bottle was thrown from the vehicle at protesters, one of whom was recording.

According to police, the suspects also yelled racial slurs, including “white power” and “Nazi power,” toward the crowd.

The footage quickly spread online, sparking public backlash and leading to multiple criminal charges.
