Three Suspects Arrested in Colorado Springs Following Police Chase of Stolen Vehicle from Aurora

Colorado Springs played the stage to a police chase and subsequent arrest of three individuals linked to an auto theft from Aurora. On a brisk Friday afternoon, Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) officers spotted a gray 2006 Toyota Corolla, reported stolen on Sept. 30 from Aurora, at the intersection of East Fountain Boulevard and South Chelton Road. According to KDVR, the vehicle had been left vulnerable, unlocked, with the keys still in the ignition when it was taken.

Attempting a routine stop, police engaged, but the Corolla’s driver chose flight over capitulation, leading to a pursuit. It wasn’t until later that day that Motor Vehicle Theft (MVT) detectives caught up with the Corolla near Boggs Place and Preuss Road, according to The Gazette.
