DENVER (KDVR) — An investigation is underway Saturday after a swastika was “displayed” and “visible” to those traveling on Interstate 70, near the city of Golden.
The Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners said its staff and leadership had been notified Saturday morning of the swastika, which had been placed on the side of a Jefferson County Open Space property, near Lookout Mountain.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, along with Jefferson County Open Space Rangers, ultimately dismantled and removed it. The sheriff’s office told FOX31 that the swastika was thought to have been made out of cloth, however, they found that it had been made from plastic.
