Flock camera credited for quick ping of truck involved in armed robbery, carjacking

ARVADA, Colo. (KDVR) — Arvada police, along with multiple other agencies, were involved in a pursuit over the weekend following an armed robbery and carjacking.

David Snelling with the Arvada Police Department stated Monday that the whole thing started after a call of a shooting near 54th Avenue and Harlan Street. When officers arrived, they found one male victim with multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim, now in stable condition according to APD, was able to tell the officer what happened. They said when the victim arrived in the area, the two suspects, 26-year-old Leonardo-Roman Martinez and 39-year-old Jesus Calva, robbed him.

Snelling explained that one of the suspects tried to hit the victim with a steel bar, and the other shot the victim twice. From there, they took off with the victim’s truck, cell phone and cash…
