Cheyenne woman faces 4 felonies in alleged fentanyl drug network

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — A Cheyenne woman is facing four felony charges, including drug conspiracy and intent to deliver fentanyl, stemming from an alleged drug distribution network that operated between Denver, Colorado, and Laramie County.

Jahmela Banks, born 1992, was formally charged in Laramie County District Court on Oct. 6 for her suspected involvement in drug activities around Sept. 24.

The charges against Banks are based on an investigation that initially focused on Edward J. McGaha, a Cheyenne man arrested earlier in September for drug possession. Banks and another person, Christopher Butterfield, were reportedly living in McGaha’s travel trailer on South Greeley Highway…
