18-year-old sentenced to 40 years after deadly shooting in Denver

DENVER (KDVR) — An 18-year-old was sentenced to 40 years in prison after a deadly shooting at a Denver gas station in 2024, according to the Denver District Attorney’s Office.

Ronnie Hernandez, who was 16 at the time of the crime, was sentenced to 40 years after he pleaded guilty to second-degree murder. This comes after he shot and killed 29-year-old Manuel Quintana at a gas station in west Denver in June 2024, the DA’s office said.
