Populus Hotel in Denver fined for pest control issues

Earlier this month, Michelin recognized the Populus Hotel, in downtown Denver, as one of “The very best hotels in the United States.” Denver public health inspectors also recognized something this summer: pest control violations.

The Denver Department of Public Health and Environment (DDPHE) fined the hotel’s owners four separate times, totaling $1,750. The most recent fine arrived on Wednesday, Oct. 22. A DDPHE spokesperson told The Denver Gazette’s news partners 9NEWS all of the fines had been paid, except for the one issued this week for $500.
