CENTENNIAL, Colo. — A man who left the scene of a crash in Aurora that killed a motorcyclist last year was sentenced to prison Friday.
According to court records, 38-year-old Brian Vondersmith pleaded guilty in August to leaving the scene of an accident involving death. He was sentenced Friday to 12 years in the Department of Corrections.
Aurora Police said that, just before midnight on Oct. 20, 2024, officers responded to a hit-and-run crash involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle on northbound Interstate 225, near 6th Avenue. Officers found the motorcyclist, who was pronounced dead at the scene…
