Jim Pittenger started selling his gourmet hot dogs from a cart in the Denver metro area in 2005 and quickly rose to local fame under the brand name ‘Biker Jim’s,’ getting featured on Anthony Bourdain’s popular ‘No Reservations’ show with his creations eventually served out of a brick-and-mortar establishment, as well as at Coors Field, Ball Arena, and Red Rocks. That said, after selling his business amid pandemic struggles in 2020 and later parting ways with his business partner in 2024 followed by various related closures, it looked like Biker Jim’s hot dogs would be gone for good.
About a year later, however, that’s proven to not be the case.
While Jim Pittenger has been frequenting events in recent months and operated out of Milk Market food hall under the name ‘Bikers & Bakers,’ he’s set to become a permanent fixture at Denver’s Avanti F&B, a collective eatery as ‘Biker Jim’s’ once again. He’ll open up on the first floor of the establishment in the place of Eloise American Bistro on November 7, serving up his iconic options, along with several new creations…
