DENVER — A local chain selling Mexican food smothered in green chile hopes to open as many as 100 restaurants over the next few years through its new franchising initiative.
Chili Shack, a Mexican restaurant chain with five locations in the Denver area and another opening soon in Brighton, has launched a franchising initiative to bring its green chile recipe to new markets in Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada and New Mexico.
Claudio Garcia, the restaurant’s chief technology officer and spokesperson, said the chain plans to open anywhere from one to three restaurants per month, but said they will likely open more than that.
