Passenger dead, drunk driver arrested after overnight street racing crash in Aurora

Police arrested an allegedly drunk driver after he rolled over a car while street racing in Aurora late Friday night, killing one of the passengers inside.

Edwin Rosales-Sandoval, 19 of Denver, was arrested on suspicion of vehicular homicide, reckless driving, driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while his license was revoked after he rolled over a BMW sedan during a street race, according to a news release from the Aurora Police Department.

Two other people were inside the car when it crashed just west of the intersection of East Alameda Parkway and South Chambers Road around 12:45 a.m. Saturday, according to the release. One of them, an adult man, died at the scene. The other, a 17-year-old female, was taken along with Rosales-Sandoval to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries…
