Denver Residents Invited to Receive Free Bluetooth Trackers to Help Prevent Auto Theft

The Denver Police Department and the Colorado Auto Theft Prevention Authority (CATPA) are offering a free Bluetooth tracker giveaway for Denver residents. The goal is to encourage more vehicle owners to join the DenverTrack program, which started in 2023 to address auto theft in the city.

On November 8, 2025, registered participants can pick up an AirTag or SmartTag Bluetooth tracker at one of six DPD district stations. Vehicle owners must register online starting November 5 at 2:00 p.m. on the DPD Auto Theft Prevention page. Only those who register successfully will receive a tracker.

During the event, DPD’s Volunteers in Policing Services (VIPS) will help attendees set up the tracker and enroll in the DenverTrack program. Participants will also get a window decal to show the vehicle is part of the program…
