Multiple Jefferson County law enforcement agencies conducted a DUI checkpoint on Thursday in honor of a fallen Golden Police Department officer who died on the same date last year.
The Colorado State Patrol, in partnership with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Golden Police Department and other agencies, held a checkpoint and increased patrol on Highway 6 in Golden Thursday evening, according to a news release from CSP.
