RVs and homelessness: What Denver could do about it besides expensive enforcement

Living in a recreational vehicle may sound liberating on the surface. But in fact, RVs can be a money hog. If you plan on living in an RV parked on the streets of Denver, chances are your mobile home eventually will be towed, and you could lose it due to unpaid fines. That’s because in Denver you have to move an RV every 72 hours, according to city law. Many RVs used by the homeless don’t even start. The city does not hesitate to tow RVs in violation of city ordinance. Nearby Aurora has a similar RV law.
