Denver police begin month-long vehicle registration crackdown

DENVER (KDVR) — Denver police are cracking down on drivers on the road with expired plates in a campaign that begins on Saturday and continues through Dec. 15.

In 2024, Denver’s police department announced a policy change limiting low-level traffic stops, but after receiving emails and hearing an outcry at community events, the department is heating up its effort to crack down on drivers with expired registrations.
